Community Code

A friendly, safe Sydney loop.

LoopPop is a social community for language exchange, friendship and cultural connection. We come here to practise languages, share cultures and make real friends.

18+ community

You must confirm you're 18 or over to join. LoopPop is not a platform for minors.

Approximate locations only

We show suburbs and rough distance. Your exact address is never public, ever.

Connect before messaging

Direct messages only unlock after both people agree to connect. No unsolicited DMs.

Easy reporting

Every profile and message has a report button. Reports go to human moderators, not bots.

Block, anytime

One tap removes someone from your feed and prevents them from contacting you again.

Meet in public

If you meet up, choose a public café, park or event. Trust your instincts.

Connections can grow naturally

Sometimes a genuine connection may naturally grow into something more. That's welcome when it is mutual, respectful and never treated as an expectation. Using LoopPop primarily to pursue dates, sending unwanted romantic or sexual messages, repeatedly flirting after someone shows no interest, or making another member uncomfortable is not acceptable.

Start with language. Respect boundaries. Let every connection develop at its own pace.

Community standards

  1. Be genuinely interested in language exchange, friendship and cultural connection.
  2. Start with language and respect boundaries. Unwanted romantic or sexual advances, repeated flirting or making someone uncomfortable will result in a ban.
  3. No unsolicited photos, links or attachments. Text-only conversations until you've built trust.
  4. Respect names, pronouns, cultures and beliefs. Curiosity is welcome; harassment is not.
  5. Never share another member's private information.
  6. Meet in public. If a meet-up feels off, leave and tell us.

Reporting & moderation

Every profile, request and message has a report action. A small human moderation team reviews reports and takes action — a warning, a suspension or a permanent ban, depending on severity.

If you feel unsafe outside the app, contact local authorities first. In Australia, call 000 in an emergency, or Lifeline on 13 11 14 for confidential support.
